Enjoyed it very much, was a great place and the hot tub was fab! Mrs M, Leeds, West Yorkshire 16 February 2011
Great for spending time together with your loved one, the hot tub is amazing even on the coldest nights and a nice size sofa to cuddle up on watching a DVD or just enjoying each others company. Mr G, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire 01 January 2011
The cottage is an excellent venue, ideal for a secluded romantic weekend or as a base to explore York and the surrounding area. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful and went to great lengths to sort out a minor problem when it arose. Clean, warm, well furnished, friendly and romantic in a private setting. Not much more could be asked so overall, excellent. Mr G, Droitwich, Worcestershire 21 September 2010
Lakeside Cottage is the perfect place for a couple to really get away from the stresses of life. The cottage is secluded, private and very quiet. The grounds are lovely, with tennis courts (all equipment provided) and the balcony off the mezzanine level is a little sun-trap. We came during the 6-week school holidays and found this cottage the perfect alternative to parks and lodges full of families. Mrs M, Lichfield, Staffordshire 22 August 2010
Ideal location for exploring and luxurious in its own right. Mrs P, Stowmarket, Suffolk 14 August 2010
Outstanding cottage with very high quality of furnishings and fittings. Very good location for visiting York. Mr. B, GREENOCK 07 July 2010
Lovely accommodation in a quiet, peaceful and private area sharing the lovely grounds of the owners property. Property was really well supplied with utensils and equipment however did lack some coat hooks. As this is a barn conversion it is rather dark and cool but still a property to return to. The nearest pub and shop was closer to three quarters of a mile but easily walkable but on a quite busy road with only partial pavements. Mr W, WREXHAM 01 July 2010
I would recommend this holiday to anyone as the cottage was lovely. It was very comforable and had everything that you needed, also an extra bonus was the hot tub. The owners were very helpful and very friendly. It was very easy to get into york centre, we found it easier to get the bus as the bus stop was outside the cottage. Miss. G, RUNCORN 22 May 2010
The cottage is beautiful, the hot tub blissful, the welcome kind and friendly (despite our very late arrival). Would recommend it to anyone wanting an idyllic break near a beautiful city and may well have to book again ourselves before too long... Mrs C, EPPING, Essex 06 May 2010
We had a fantastic time. It was our last weekend away alone as we have a little one on the way, wish I had booked up for longer. The welcome was lovely and the whole stay was a pleasure, would love to come back with the little one if possible! Miss P, GATESHEAD, Tyne and Wear 26 March 2010
A great location - use the park and ride system to get into York town centre, parking is free and the return bus journey is £4.60 for two people. The cottage is beautiful, in a private location and the hot tub was amazing!! Miss C, NEWCASTLE, Staffordshire 27 February 2010
A great location for easy access into York, and a unique and individualy styled property with a great hot tub. Mr M, Banbury, Oxfordshire 24 February 2010
To couples its a lovers retreat - it was perfect and we will definitely go back next year! Miss R, EASTBOURNE, East Sussex 02 February 2010
I would recommend to anyone. Very very romantic place and loads to do whether it be going out drinking, eating, sight seeing, there is everything to do not too far away. We will definitely go back winter or summer. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We was going to stay another night but had work the next day. Miss G, ORMSKIRK, Lancashire 09 December 2009
Beautiful accommodation in a great setting. Very private . Mrs M, Preston 30 November 2009
This was a beautiful cottage in an ideal location. Mr C, PRESTONPANS 26 September 2009
A very nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. A very well done barn conversion, very private and isolated and the hot tub was fantastic. Mr E, BRIDLINGTON 21 June 2009
I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a relaxing holiday. Mrs F, STOKE-ON-TRENT 06 June 2009
It was a lovely place. The decor was impressive, peace and quiet, absolutely ideal for a couple and near to all we needed. Mrs B, BOSTON, Lincolnshire 05 June 2009
A fantastic place to stay! A nice quiet location, but just a short journey into the sights and sounds of York. I had a fantastic stay here and enjoyed the hot tub very much on the cold winter nights! Mr M, Grays, Essex 20 February 2009
